TIME TO CHECK- You are veg or non-veg!!!

Hello!

In past weeks I was doing research on what is veg and what is non-veg. But after googling a lot I found that there are things which are marked veg but actually they are non-veg. So it's time to check out that you are still veg or not. Hope this article will clear all your myths.

Startling fact that has been appeared in front is about the food tagged as vegetarian (i. e. the Green Mark on the packet) can be non-vegetarian. Food companies need to mention the details of ingredients used in the product, which is written on the packet.
 Nowadays, Food product are using E-System in which they give the some number after E, for example     E-471, this represent some ingredient which in used in the production of that product. The information about this E-number can be retrieved by googling or searching on Wikipedia.

What scares the most is that some of these labels which represent ingredient that are unhealthy for children and some are non-vegetarian (they have animal origin or they are made up from animals ).
Here is list E-numbers which have

Animal origin.

E-120 , E- 153
E-422, E-441, E-442, E-471 , E-476, E-485, E-488
E-542
E-626, E-631, E-635
E-904, E-910, E-920, E-921, E-1100, E-1101, E-1105

Ingredient harmful for children

E-102, E-104, E-107, E-110, E-120, E-122, E-123, E-124, E-128, E-131, E-132 , E-133, E-151, E-154, E-155, E-160 b , E-162, E-210, E-211, E-212, E-213,  E-214, E-216, E-217, E-218, E-219, E-250, E-251, E-296
E-631

Some daily products which have animal origin:

In the world of globalization you may require to visit different part of world for different purposes. The language is one of the biggest obstacles faced by Indian peoples to foreign countries. If you are in a company then there are high chances that you may be promoted to office in other countries, company can send you to foreign countries or company can send you outside for proposal. So what you will do there if you don't know foreign language.One could not do anything if he/she is completely unaware of the language spoken by peoples in particular area or region. Not for only freelancers and business purposes, but knowing any of the foreign languages will definitely boost your career. In this article we will discuss various aspects of learning foreign languages.

Importance of learning foreign language

There are really lot of advantages of learning foreign language. In the words of Mr. M.K. Gandhi,"No culture can live, if it attempts to be exclusive", which means we will not survive if we try to keep away from other world. Communication is need of every human being and language is the only way to communicate with people normally, up to any limit. You can not express yourself completely with the use of sign language. Language has played very important role in developing cultures in various parts of world and as only way to communicate with other peoples, it has become the most important aspect of human world. So lets discuss what are advantages of learning foreign language?

Benefits of learning a foreign language:

  1. A new language can help you to understand the different cultures in world.

  2. Learning new language can open new paths for you, in your career and educational opportunities.

  3. It is said that a person who knows more languages will have better understanding, better logical reasoning capabilities and he have developed his mind to more extent than a person who knows single language.

  4. In today's world of globalization, where every small or large company is looking to expand their operations, new language in your resume will give you more chances of getting a job.

  5. If you want to get a job in any foreign country, then after checking your academics and eligibility company will prefer candidates who knows language of their country.

As mentioned by me earlier in this article, learning foreign languages is very important in today's world. There are also lot of career opportunities available. In next section we will discuss, what are career opportunities in foreign languages?
  1. After getting proficiency in certain language you can work as translator, between any two languages, which you know. The job of translator is to translate the written documents, scripts, books, various types of guides in to another language.

  2. The next option of career after learning a foreign language is as interpreter. Interpreters commonly works in meeting to make understand the speech or presentation made by one person in one language to another persons with different languages.

  3. You can also get job as teacher to teach the language at various institutions, colleges, universities and schools also.

  4. You can also work on your own. For ex. You can get translating job on various freelancing websites available today. Or you can acquire rights to publish particular book in specific language.

  5. You can also open your own institution to teach other student the foreign language.

Actually there lot of professionals required in this area. There are different requirements for different companies. For ex. one may be looking for candidates who can translate their product catalogue from one language to another language while another may be looking for candidates who can speak to their customers in different languages. These are only two examples and I must there are really lot of opportunities available for candidates who knows different foreign languages.

These are the somethings which may influence you to take some course in any of the foreign language. But now the more important question arises before us. Where to learn these foreign languages? Which are institutions and universities offering courese in foreign languages? The next section of article will give you answers to these questions.

Going To Buy A Camera,Then Wait Have Look Here

I many time heard that we can’t capture time, yeah its true but we can capture memories of that time. So you definitely need one camera for capturing your memories. But nowadays one of the main use of clicks is to make their pics as profile/wall pictures on social sites. Memories can be refreshed even though pictures are fade or blurred. But it’s better to capture your memories by a good camera, s your memory will always be bright.  So I am writing this article about the selection of digital cameras. There is wide range of Camera Company’s and its models in market, but sometimes you are confused  that which one you should buy.The following list of steps will help you choosing the best deal for you.
                   Steps to be followed while selecting a digital camera

1.    First set the budget on how much money you can spend in buying a digital camera for you.

2.    Secondly determine your experience level in operating a digital camera. Are you a new operator, an expert or a beginner when it is about digital photography? If you are a beginner then a low quality camera will be right for you otherwise if you are an expert in the field of digital photography then you can look for some high quality cameras.

3.    Thirdly consider what you want to capture by your camera. For personal use like for tours, friends parties, get together etc. get a that is fast in processing and acts fast after you click the shutter as you will have to capture photos quickly. If you are going to capture the still figures, then low processing camera will work. If you want to captures the far distant objects then took camera which have high optical zoom e.g. 10x zoom.

4.    Decide whether you want to capture videos with the camera. If you want normal quality then look for cameras with 480p or 720p video resolution. And if you want a true HD (high definition) video then look for the camera with 1080p video resolution. If you want to capture sound also then look for the cameras having microphone input. Camera with 1080p gives you the video with finest quality, it’s simply awesome.

5.    If you are confused about the company, then you can check reviews on the internet about the photography and cameras. You can visit different websites in the internet for the reviews like http://www.dpreview.com, http://www.imaging-resource.com, and http://www.steves-digicams.com are the leading sites for good photographers, while http://www.cnet.com has good reviews for more casual users. If you are confused between two cameras and want to compare their functions and capabilities then you can visit http://www.vsxl.com to explore similar cameras.

6.    If you like some special feature then make a list of them and prioritize the list. Always remember that there are tradeoffs, i.e. digital zoom vs optical zoom. You probably would not be getting what you want.

7.    Select which type of batteries would be best for you. Best batteries in market these days are lithium ion rechargeable batteries. These rechargeable batteries are lighter and have long lasting life but there is a problem also, when it wears out, it may be difficult to buy a replacement. If camera accepts AA size batteries, then they can be replaced by other AA size batteries. These are not manufacture specific and can be easily replaced with another set of batteries when needed. I will suggest AA size batteries if you are uying camera within range of <15k.

8.    Do not make complete compromises while buying a camera. Decide what is important and get something that is best at that, rather than making a compromise.

9.    Do not make a wrong thinking that a high megapixel camera always captures a good picture. Pixels always not make your picture good it mainly increase the clarity of photo on zooming. There are many other factors like quality of lens that determine the quality of image. 3.2 megapixels is the minimum for good 4x6 size pictures. But nowadays no one is buying a camera less than 10 megapixels. You can go to the photo store and get more information from professional about how many megapixels you will need your camera to have good quality pictures.

10.  Do not look for a number of models. Just select one or two models that suits your budget best and have all the qualities you wanted. You can compare the prices by visiting various online shopping sites like www.homeshop18.com, www.flipcart.com, www.jabong.com etc.

11.  Check the warranty period of the camera you are going to buy. Most of the camera brands give a warranty of one year from the date of purchase, but extended warranty is also offered in some stores like Reliance stores, but some extra money is also charged for the extended warranty.

12.  After making all the comparisons by visiting different sites and selecting the best camera for you, you can buy the camera from digital stores or you can buy online. But I recommend you that always buy the electronic things from local market or online directly from company official sites. Because other sites mainly does not give warranty card or they give card of one year warranty but when you check your warranty status on company’s site it may be not full 1 year.

More about Languages

Language:

In natural Life, a language is a communication medium using which we can communicate with each other.

In the same manner while working with computer, the language (also known as programming language) is used to develop new softwares and applications by which user can communicate with the computers using hardware.

Generally there are following two types of languages:
1. Low-Level Languages.
2. High-Level Languages.

1. Low-Level Languages: The language which can be understood by the computer directly, are known as Low-level languages. For example- Binary Language and Assembly Language.

2. High-Level Languages: The language in which we write the program, generally using English Language, are known as High-level Languages. But these languages cannot be understood by the computer directly. Therefore, each high-level language consists of it's own compiler which is used to compile our program from the source code (program written by us using English Language) into computer understandable machine code. For example- COBOL, PASCAL, FORTRAN, C, C++, JAVA etc.

'C' Language :-

 'C' is a structured high-level programming language developed by 'DENNIS RITCHIE' at T Bell Lab in 1972.

Initially 'C' was developed for the inplementation of Unix operating system. But now-a-days it has become all in one language,i.e., now-a-days this language can be used to develop any type of software and application.

CHARACTERISTICS OF 'C' LANGUAGE:

Following are the characteristics of 'C' language:-

1. Size of language-

'C' is extremely small because 'C' language does not provide any input/output capabilities but here these tasks are performed using functions known as Library Functions.

2. Modern Control Statements-

All of the modern control statements which are expected in any new language are available in 'C' for various practical problems.

3. Bitwise Operators-

While developing system software, we are required to process the data at bit level. 'C' language provides Bitwise operator to handle such cases.

4. Pointer Implementations-

 While developing System software, we are required to access the memory directly. 'C' language provides the facility of Pointers to do so.

Because of the above defined characteristics, 'C' language can be thought of a middle-level language because this combines the functions of the low-level language with the features of the high-level language.

Format of 'C' programming:

Since 'C' is a structured programming language therefore there is a specific format for each and every 'C' program.

#include<stdio.h>
#include..........
.
.
.
main()
{ variable declaration;......
.
.
executable statements;....
.
.
.}

#include statement:
In the above format #include statement is used to include header file. A header file consists of function declaration.
Since 'C' does not provide any input/output capabilities, therefore we have to work with library functions to perform a task which are declared in header files. So, we are required to include all corresponding header files in our programs.
While we are making programs, input/output operations are required to be performed, and to do so all the input/output library functions are present in the header file named "stdio.h".

Coding Call:

1. WAP in 'C' to display "WELCOME" on screen.
2. WAP in 'C' to input two numbers by the user and display their sum.
3. WAP in 'C' to input two numbers by the user and display their difference.
4. WAP in 'C' to input two numbers by the user and display their product.
5. WAP in 'C' to input two numbers by the user and display their divison.
6. WAP in 'C' to input two numbers by the user and display their modulus.
7. WAP in 'C' to input gender by the user and display the gender.
8. WAP in 'C' to input character by the user and convert it in lower or upper case depending upon user's choice..

0 comments:

A little more of 'C'

1. getchar()
- to input a single character

SYNTAX: variable_name= getchar();

2- putchar()
- to display a single character

SYNTAX: putchar(variable_name);

Examples:

1) To illustrate the syntax of the functions given above.

#include <stdio.h>
#include <conio.h>
void main()
{ char a;
printf("Enter your gender\n");
a=getchar();
printf("Gender:\n");
putchar(a);
getch();
}

Note: Some notations can be used in programming languages for certain operations with a backslash.
These are known as ESCAPE SEQUENCES. Some of their examples are:
\n    newline feed
\t     horizontal tab
\b    backspace
\\     backslash
\'      apostrophe
\v     vertical tab

Likewise various escape sequences can be used in all the programming languages notifying various visible and invisible characters.

The ASCII CODE for various alphabetic and numeric characters used in programming are:
 A-Z     65-90
 a-z       97-122
 0-9       48-57
 space    32

P1. WAP to convert a lower case charater to upper or vice versa depending upon the users choice.

#include <stdio.h>
#include <conio.h>
void main()
{ char a, int p;
printf("Press 1 to convert from lower to upper OR 2 to convert from upper to lower\n");
scanf("%d",&p);
switch(p)
{case 1: printf("Enter any lowercase character\n");
a=getchar();
if(a<=122&&a>=97)
{a-=32;
putchar(a);}
else
printf("Entered character is not a lowercase character\n");
break;
case 2: printf("Enter any uppercase character\n");
a=getchar();
if(a<=90&&a>=65)
{a+=32;
putchar(a);}
else
printf("Entered character is not an uppercase character\n");
break;
default: printf("Entered choice is wrong\n");
}
getch();
}

Notes:
1. switch-case is a multi-branching conditional statement which matches the case depending upon the value of variable passed as an argument in switch and executes the statements in the matching case.
"default" case executes when the value of the passed argument does not match with any of the given cases.

2. break is a jumping statement which upon execution takes the control out of the block of statements it is contained in. As if in switch-case, break statement is used to avoid fall-through. Fall-through can be defined as the execution of the following cases of the matching case, and the control finally transfers to the following statement of the switch block.

Ubuntu, a smarter choice!!

Ubuntu, a smarter choice!!

Those days are gone when we have to spend hefty amount on OS & professional softwares!
I remember those days when we have to spend around 10K for getting a single user BASIC programing language!
Recently the versions of  Windows 8 was available in a price bracket of 7k to 13k. Even after spending so much we are prone to data theft & privacy losses. We were forced to use them because we can't afford Mac (Because the market hold is very less almost 18% of Global Computer market which restrict our circle)
Then what is the way out???

UBUNTU is a perfect solution to all our problems....Excited to know WHY!! comes lets find out!!
  1. Open Source Software(freely available with source code).
  2. Constant Speed(unlike windows speed of ubuntu will never decrease)
  3. Only 6 viruses are design for this OS,some are in testing stage (Windows have 60,000+).
  4. All drivers are inbuilt & it not then you can get them from Ubuntu Software center.
  5. Highly compatible(supports doc,ppt, xls, pdf & many other)
  6. Free 5GB Cloud space on ubuntu one.
  7. Multiple desktop available
  8. Resource  sharing is damn easy.
  9. Many softwares are in built like VLC, Mozilla, Thunderbird & list goes on.
  10. Last but not the least it does not require file defragmentation as it have a wonderful file manager which automatically stores file in an easy to access locations.
Apart from this it offers additive advantage like cutting the cost of antivirus software(as there is almost 0 possibility for getting a virus), which brings down the computing cost.
So still you feel like using your same old windows PC....
I am very sure the answer will be NO!!

You can get the latest version of Ubuntu i.e 12.04 from the following link

Back Up Facebook and Download Facebook Albums In Single Click

Good news for Facebook users, now you can download all Facebook albums in one click. Or I can say with this post you will be able to back up of your Facebook too. Even you can download yours friends albums. Facebook2Zip is a web service which offers you to download your personal as well as your friend’s photo album. You can even download the specific or multiple photo albums in a fraction of seconds using this web service. You will receive all albums in single zip. Hence saving your time.The only thing all you need is the Facebook account and start clicking to download the photo albums of your favorite pals.

   Tutorial

  • Now Login to this website using your Facebook account.
  • The important thing that you need to stick with is that you can only access those albums of your friends that you can view on your Facebook account so you can move ahead by just clicking the next button to choose the albums you want to download.

Settings For Downloading facebook Albums
  • You can even search the required photo album in the search bar by just you need to type the person you’re looking for.
  • Perhaps the thing you need to do is to choose a single album by just a click on the album’s name, or do a multi-select using CTRL key. Therefore by the click the download will prompt Facebook2Zip to grab the selected albums in the form of single zip archive. If you want to abort the incorrect choice or want to cancel the operation there is an Abort button available.

Choosing Facebook Albums To Download
There you can view all the albums which you can even download them from the person you want photo album from his/her account.After this only you have to click the downloading button.
This web-based service is very fast as far as conversion of albums to Zip is concerned and the time will change depending on the number of albums you select to download, however the download speeds, are the thing which matters as well which also a dependent factor. But one thing is guaranteed no other site give you all these features and this much processing and zipping speed.

JAVA Important Interview Questions

What are differences between Swing and AWT?
One of the classic java swing interview questions and mostly asked on phone interviews. There is couple of differences between swing and AWT:
1) AWT component are considered to be heavyweight while Swing componentare lightweights
2) Swing has plug-gable look and feel.
3) AWT is platform depended same GUI will look different on different platform while Swing is developed in Java and is platform dependent.

WhySwing components are called lightweight component?
Another popular java swing interview question, I guess the oldest that is generally comes as followup of earlier question based on your answer provided.AWT components are associated with  native screen resource and called heavyweight component while Swing components is uses the screen resource of an ancestor instead of having there own and that's why called lightweight or lighter component.

Writecode to print following layout (mainly focused on GridBag layout)?
After JTable second favorite topic of swing interviewer is GridBagLayout. GridBagLayout in swing is most powerful but at same time most complex layout and a clear cut experience and expertise around GridBagLayout is desired for developing Swing GUI for trading systems. No matter whether you are developing GUI for equities trading, futures or options trading or forex trading you always required GridBagLayout. Swing interview question on GridBagLayout willbe mostly on writing code for a particular layout just like an example shown here. In which six buttons A, B, C, D, E and F are organized in certain fashion.

How do you handle opening of database, file or network connection on a click of  button?
This one is one of the easy java swing interview question. Interviewer is interested on whether you know the basic principle of Java GUI development or not. answer is you should not do this operation in EDT thread instead spawn a new thread from action Listener or button and disable the button until operation gets completed to avoid resubmitting request. Only condition is that your GUI should always be responsive no matter what happens on network connection or database connection because these operations usually take time.

Predictionof output of code?
This is another category of Swing interview questions asked in IB whether they will give you code and asked what would be the output , how will the GUI look like. This type of question is based upon how well you understand and visualize the code. Whether you are familiar with default layout manager of various component classes or not e.g. default layout of JFrame is BorderLayout.So do some practice of these kinds of java Swing interview questions as well?

What is the difference between Assignment and Initialization?- Assignment can be done as many times as desired whereas initialization can be done only once.

What is OOPs?- Object oriented programming organizes a program around its data, i. e. , objects and a set of well defined interfaces to that data. An object-oriented program can be characterized as data controlling access to code.

What are Class, Constructor and Primitive data types?- Class is a template for multiple objects with similar features and it is a blue print for objects. It defines a type of object according to the data the object can hold and the operations the object canper form. Constructor is a special kind of method that determines how an object is initialized when created. Primitive data types are 8 types and they are:byte, short, int, long, float, double, boolean, char.

What is an Object and how do you allocate memory to it?- Object is an instance of a class and it is a software unit that combines a structured set of data with a set of operations for inspecting and manipulating that data. When an object is created using new operator,memory is allocated to it.

What is the difference between constructor and method?- Constructor will be automatically invoked when an object is created whereas method has to be called explicitly.

What are methods and how are they defined?-Methods are functions that operate on instances of classes in which they are defined. Objects can communicate with each other using methods and can call methods in other classes. Method definition has four parts. They are name of the method, type of object or primitive type the method returns, a list of parameters and the body of the method. A method’s signature is a combination of the first three parts mentioned above.

What is the use of bin and lib in JDK?-Bin contains all tools such as java c, applet viewer, awt tool, etc., whereas lib contains API and all packages.

What is casting?- Casting is used to convert the value of one type to another.

How many ways can an argument be passed to a subroutine and explain them?- An argument can be passed in two ways. They are passing byvalue and passing by reference. Passing by value: This method copies the value of an argument into the formal parameter of the subroutine. Passing by reference: In this method, a reference to an argument (not the value of the argument) is passed to the parameter.

What is Event-Driven-Thread (EDT) in Swing?
Event-Driven-Thread or EDT is a special thread in Swing and AWT.Event-Driven Thread is used to draw graphics and listen for events in Swing.You will get a bonus point if you able to highlight that time consuming operations like connecting to database, opening a file or connecting to network should not be done on EDT thread because it could lead to freezing GUI because of blocking and time consuming nature of these operations instead they should be done on separate thread and EDT can just be used to spawn those thread on a button click or mouse click.

Does Swing is thread safe? What do you mean by swing is not thread-safe?
This swing interview questions is getting very popular now days. Though it’s pretty basic many developer doesn't understand thread-safety issue in Swing. Since Swing components are not thread-safe it means you can not update these components in any thread other than Event-Driven-Thread. If you do so you will get unexpected behavior. Some time interviewer will also ask what are thread-safe methods in swing which can be safely called from any thread only few like repaint() and revalidate().

What is the difference between an argument and a parameter?- While defining method, variables passed in the method are called parameters. While using those methods, values passed to those variables are called arguments.

What are different types of access modifiers?-public: Any thing declared as public can be accessed from anywhere. private:Any thing declared as private can’t be seen outside of its class. protected:Any thing declared as protected can be accessed by classes in the same package and subclasses in the other packages. default modifier : Can be accessed only to classes in the same package.

What is final, finalize() and finally?-final : final keyword can be used for class, method and variables. A final class cannot be sub classed and it prevents other programmers from sub classing a secure class to invoke insecure methods. A final method can’t be overridden. A final variable can’t change from its initialized value. finalize() : finalize()method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to garbage collection. finally : finally, a key word used in exception handling, creates a block of code that will be executed after a try/catch block has completed and before the code following the try/catch block. The finally block will execute whether or not an exception is thrown. For example, if a method opens a file upon exit, then you will not want the code that closes the file to be bypassed by the exception-handling mechanism. This finally keyword is designed to address this contingency.

What is UNICODE?- Unicode is used for internal representation of characters and strings and it uses 16 bits to represent each other.

What is Garbage Collection and how to call it explicitly?- When an object is no longer referred to by any variable,java automatically reclaims memory used by that object. This is known as garbage collection. System. gc() method may be used to call it explicitly.

What is finalize() method?- finalize () method is used just before an object is destroyed and can be called just prior to garbage collection.

What are Transient and Volatile Modifiers?-Transient: The transient modifier applies to variables only and it is not stored as part of its object’s Persistent state. Transient variables are not serialized. Volatile: Volatile modifier applies to variables only and it tells the compiler that the variable modified by volatile can be changed unexpectedly by other parts of the program.

What is method overloading and method overriding?-Method overloading: When a method in a class having the same method name with different arguments is said to be method overloading. Method overriding : When a method in a class having the same method name with same arguments is said to be method overriding.

What is difference between overloading and overriding?- a) In overloading, there is a relationship between methods available in the same class whereas in overriding, there is relationship between a super class method and subclass method. b) Overloading does not block inheritance from the super class whereas overriding blocks inheritance from the super class. c) In overloading, separate methods share the same name whereas in overriding, subclass method replaces the super class. d) Overloading must have different method signatures whereas overriding must have same signature.

What is meant by Inheritance and what are its advantages?- Inheritance is the process of inheriting all the features from a class. The advantages of inheritance are reusability of code and accessibility of variables and methods of the super class by subclasses.

What is the difference between this() and super()?-this() can be used to invoke a constructor of the same class whereas super()can be used to invoke a super class constructor.

What is the difference between super class and subclass?- A super class is a class that is inherited whereas subclass is a class that does the inheriting.

What modifiers may be used with top-level class?-public, abstract and final can be used for top-level class.

What are inner class and anonymous class?-Inner class : classes defined in other classes, including those defined in methods are called inner classes. An inner class can have any accessibility including private. Anonymous class : Anonymous class is a class defined inside a method without a name and is instantiated and declared in the same place and cannot have explicit constructors.

What is a package?- A package is a collection of classes and interfaces that provides a high-level layer of access protection and name space management.

What is a reflection package?- java.lang. reflect package has the ability to analyze itself in run time.

What is interface and its use?- Interface is similar to a class which may contain method’s signature only but not bodies and it is a formal set of method and constant declarations that must be defined by the class that implements it. Interfaces are useful for: a)Declaring methods that one or more classes are expected to implement b)Capturing similarities between unrelated classes without forcing a class relationship. c)Determining an object’s programming interface without revealing the actual body of the class.

What is an abstract class?- An abstract class is a class designed with implementation gaps for subclasses to fill in and is deliberately incomplete.

What is the difference between Integer and int?-a) Integer is a class defined in the java. lang package, whereas int is a primitive data type defined in the Java language itself. Java does not automatically convert from one to the other. b) Integer can be used as an argument for a method that requires an object, whereas int can be used for calculations.

What is a cloneable interface and how many methods does it contain?- It is not having any method because it is a TAGGED or MARKER interface.
