What actually ULTRABOOK is?

It was at Computex 2011 where INTEL announced the Ultrabook a new category of notebook that would take on tablet and boost lagging sales. Intel trademark the ‘Ultrabook’ name and came up with a reference design; minimum specification that had to be met for a device to be called an Ultrabool.
A $ 1,000 price, a minimum battery backup of 5 hours, Intel core I series processor, flash based SSD storage, less than 20 mm thickness & a weight of less than 1.4 kg were the main criteria. This way, Intel made sure that irrespective of the manufacturer, the performance of the ultrabook would be constant over a long period of time. However there are a few drawbacks- due to slim design, only a few ports can be accommodated & an optical device is out the question.

AWSOME TECHNOLOGIES IN FUTURE - Part 2

Just imagine your garage door opens and the lights in your house turn on. The TV queues up the shows you missed while you were working late. Your favourite songs are following you from the living room to the kitchen. Then you stop. The phone blinks and warbles at you. The fridge says you forgot the milk. So it’s the time to unveil all these technologies to you. Let’s have a look on upcoming technologies.

Smart Glasses: I’ve built a love/hate relationship with Google over the years. I remember the day when “Google” was nothing but a single page with a logo and a text box. Now we’ve got Google mail, a Google social network, Google phones and tablets loaded with the Google operating system. What is the logical next step? Google Goggles of course. The Google Goggles are reported to have built in 4G with GPS technology, a camera, and a Bluetooth connection to Android based phones. This project is not a prop, it’s not a joke, it’s the real deal – and Google is detailing it via Google+, of course. This project is being touted by Google X employees at a futuristic vision that could very well come to fruition very soon. The actual device is a pair of wrap-around glasses with a clear display that sits in front of your eye (the left, for now). It’s a fully integrated Google apps experience. What’s more than this, the project could potentially not just sit around your head – this tech could get as close to your body as a contact lens. The image you’re looking at above is a contact lens being developed by Google X which Google X employee Babak Parviz notes allows pixels to be sitting right on top of your eye.

Smart Skin Phones: Samsung has filed a patent for smart device-skin which will supposedly be able to take any digital image, and display that image across the skin of the device. The patent describes a layer of film that wraps the phone, covering the entire phone except the sockets, the camera, and the screen. Little else is known about this technology (other than it’s awesome), but it is described as a possible feature for an upcoming phone, as well as being available as an accessory to fit onto most other devices. While little information has been released to the public, including a release date, we do know of another upcoming Samsung device that just might be the aforementioned phone.

Bendy Screen Smartphone: Yes, the bendy screen smartphone. For those of you who are technologically illiterate, a bendy screen smartphone is a smartphone touting a screen that we can bend! Yep. Who doesn’t want to bend and twist their phone into silly shapes sometimes? It's the best way to let out your anger, other than just throwing the thing against a wall. Using Samsung’s already demoed OLED display technology, we can be expecting a new phone model that will allow us to bend it, roll it up, and hit it with a hammer. (YES!) We already have the specs for this phone as well. The phone debuted as the “Galaxy Skin” features a high-res 800×480 AMOLED screen, 8mp camera and 1 GB of RAM as well as a 1.2GHz processor.

Xbox 720: There are rumors everywhere about the new Xbox system: it won’t have an optical drive, all games will be downloaded digitally, it’s called the Xbox Loop, it’s called the Durango...and the list goes on. There are a few reliable rumors, however. The graphics are certainly being done by AMD, who claim that the graphic detail will be on the same level of Avatar. We can also certainly believe that the system is going to be released at E3 in 2013, as several companies working on the project have claimed. Xbox 720 will come packing 1080p 3D support, Blu-ray player and DVR functionality. It also comes with AMD's 7000 series graphics, which is based on its 28nm Graphics Core Next (GCN) Southern Islands tech. Xbox will arrive in time for Christmas 2013.

Basis Band: We’ve all seen heart rate monitors, pedometers, and the like. Soon, we'll have something even more advanced and useful called the Basis Band. The Basis Band is a wrist watch style monitor that can monitor virtually everything your body does. It automatically detects your activities and keeps track of things such as calories burned, heart rate, sleeping patterns, and other physical activities. I’ve never been a huge fan of health monitors in the past, but a device that can monitor my sleep patterns on top of everything else may be just what I need.

Fujitsu Lifebook 2013: Ok so you’re the guy who leaves home with a digital camera strung around his neck, a backpack to carry his laptop, a tablet in his briefcase, and a phone in his pocket? Well, you’re just weird.            The Fujitsu Lifebook, coming in 2013, combines all of these fancy pieces of technology into one. Ditch everything else, keep the laptop backpack. Detach the laptop’s camera to be used as a handheld digital camera. Open it up and pull that out as well. Put it back in and the tablet immediately displays itself as a touch-screen keyboard for the laptop. There is even a spot where you can attach and remove a special cell phone, which I imagine acts as the cellular modem for the laptop when attached.

The Invisible Tank: This may not be some neat tool or gadget you can bring home and show off to your friends, but it is definitely something to be excited for. The word invisible may be a bit misleading though, it's more like a chameleon. A chameleon that only works at night. The British Army revealed this tank at the world's largest weapons fare, probably to make everybody else jealous. The chameleon tank works by using the infrared technology on night-vision goggles and surveillance planes against them. The tank uses a system of thermo-electric tiles and thermal cameras in order to conform with the environment around it. These heat signatures can change so fast that it even works while moving. If that wasn't enough, the system has its own library of environmental patterns. This means you could be a terrorist looking for the enemy with your nifty night-vision specs only to find nothing out in the field but a roaming cow.

Nightmare Busters – SNES: Retro developer and publisher Super Fighter Team has confirmed that it is currently developing a brand new SNES title called Nightmare Busters, due for release in 2013. According to the developer this will be the first new game released for the platform in the U.S. since 1998. Described as a 'run and gun' title, there has been such demand that not only has the company decided to accept pre-orders, but is also boosting the initial run to 600 copies, double the normal first batch. This will be a real, fully licensed game, with newly manufactured cartridges, an instruction manual, and an SNES style game box. The game will be selling at $60 + shipping and handling for the US market, with slightly higher prices elsewhere.
4G Technology: Recently Airtel had launched its 3G service in Bangalore. This service will change your internet surfing habits. Now you have to only click and results will be on your computer screen. The 3rd 4G International Forum will be taking place in Taipei, Taiwan from 10 - 11 July 2012. This annual Forum will see international operators and 4G experts congregate to discuss new opportunities and current challenges faced by the telecom and ICT sectors.

HTML5: HTML5 is the next generation of HTML and is strongly supported by key mobile vendors, including Apple, Google, Research In Motion (RIM) and Microsoft. HTML5 substantially enhances mobile Web application features, and will cause a shift of architecture from native applications to hybrid and Web approaches. HTML5 will also displace more proprietary technologies such as Flash and Silverlight. Many mobile development tools will offer HTML5 generation. W3C already announced that they will make HTML5 as a standard in future. Hence it will surely in demand.

NFC: NFC is a technology for very short range (less than 10 centimetres) of communication, which will be incorporated in many future mobile handsets. Although it’s often portrayed as a payment technology, it’s more appropriate to think of it as a “touch to act” technology that will enable applications such as smart posters, discount tokens, mobile tickets, authentication and check-in to location-based services.

Location and Context:Location is the first step toward contextual applications that are proactive and highly personalized, matching services to employee or customer needs at a specific time and place. The long-term vision of context will involve location, knowledge of individual needs, social networking, sensor information and many other clues to suggest appropriate offers and services.

Bluetooth 4: The headline feature of the latest Bluetooth 4 release is low energy (LE) operation, which allows a mobile handset to talk to a wide range of low-power peripherals and sensors. It will enable new mobile accessories and business models, many of which will use the mobile device as a channel to communicate with cloud services.

802.11ac: 802.11ac boosts Wi-Fi performance to 1 Gbps levels. This and other new Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.11ad (60 GHz, multi-Gbps in-room Wi-Fi) and 802.11ah (low-frequency Wi-Fi), will continue to expand the capabilities of the Wi-Fi family of technologies. The strong Wi-Fi road map will enable it to address new application areas such as high-definition video streaming telemetry and offloading traffic from cellular networks.

LTE: LTE is a next-generation cellular wireless technology that pushes peak theoretical speeds to hundreds of megabits per second and reduces latency. LTE will be adopted by code division multiple access (CDMA) and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network operators.

Welcome to the cloud: As broadband penetration expands, the idea of accessing data storage, software, and even extra processing power is becoming more attractive. And if you play your cards right, your digital home in 2013 will not only be free from clutter, but it might be in a serious relationship with the Web. So just upgrade your dreams so they certainly meet the upcoming technologies.

AWSOME TECHNOLOGIES IN FUTURE - Part 1

Technology is constantly evolving, just when you think it can't get any better, something else we didn’t think possible hits us. Here are 5 of the best current and upcoming technology in 2012.Now everyday we are getting new technologies with new features, which we haven't ever heard. But I for you I had listed some of best upcoming technologies in future.
Below I had listed the upcoming powerful technologies in last of 2012 and in 2013.

1.)    Razer Project Fiona: It is Windows 8 tablet with dual controllers for PC gaming. If you are not satisfied with all gaming gadgets and accessories, then don’t worry, Razer has taken a big turn into system building. First, it announced the forthcoming Blade gaming laptop, and now it's unveiled a concept tablet that claims it will bring real PC gaming capabilities to a slate. Project Fiona comprises a 10.1-inch tablet, along with a pair of integrated gaming controllers (though the screen will include multi-touch and accelerometer support). It will run Windows 8, as well as an "Android overlay". It will pack an Intel Core i7 processor, and presumably it will rely on that chip's integrated graphics. It will have 8GB of high-speed DDR3 Memory.  Also included is a Dolby 7.1 surround sound system. Razer promises pricing under $1,000. It will be instantly compatible with a legion of top-of-the-line games, like Crysis, Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed.

2.) Acer Iconia Tab A700: It had technical specs which makes it very hard to ignore. Underneath the 10.1-inch 1200p HD screen is and 1.3GHz quad core CPU, an Nvidia Tegra 3 graphics chipset, and a host of other features, including Wifi, 3G, and Bluetooth. the rubberized back is comfortable to hold. One welcome holdover is the micro USB to full-sized USB adapter and USB host mode capability. The tablet supports FAT32-format external storage devices, as well as USB keyboards and mice A microSD card slot, hidden behind a plastic flap on the right panel, accepts cards up to 64GB. On the left side is a 3.5mm headphone jack, with a microHDMI port on the right for output to HDTVs. The A700's 10.1-inch display matches the Infinity TF700 in terms of sharpness, but the Asus wins out with its ultra-bright Super IPS+ display.

3.) Ultra Definition 3D TV (84 inch): The company just announced it's bringing an 84-inch "ultra definition" (3840x2160) TV to Las Vegas to go along with its 55-inch OLED. It has all of LG's Cinema 3D and Smart TV features built-in, including support for that upgraded Magic Motion remote and voice control. Its Cinema 3D tech uses a Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) screen and passive glasses that result in lowered resolution, but with those extra pixels there's no question about whether viewers are still getting at least an HD picture. LG is at CES 2012 this week and, as promised, the company has brought its first UDTV with it to Las Vegas. This 4K display, which packs four times the pixels your 1080p TV does, will be available this coming summer in three sizes (60-inch, 72-inch and 84-inch). Of course, something like this will cost you an arm, two legs, and a kidney.

4.) Windows 8: Windows 8 is due to be released in autumn 2012. It is the biggest redevelopment of any Microsoft operating system since Windows 95. Some of the new Windows 8 features include support for touchscreen devices, greatly improved performance, and better security. Microsoft says it's created a new kind of app for Windows 8 using HTML5 and JavaScript, and they're a lot like the apps you'd expect to find on a tablet. A weather app shows the five-day forecast. Microsoft also showed off Internet Explorer 10, which is optimized for touch. Presumably Microsoft will distribute these apps through its own store--there's a "Store" tile in the version of Windows 8 that Microsoft demonstrated--but the company offered no details.
Minimum hardware requirements for Windows 8 Release Preview
Architecture             x86 (32-bit)                                               x86-64 (64-bit)
Processor                   1 GHz (with PAE, NX and SSE2 support)[65]
Memory (RAM)                         1 GB                                                                    2 GB
Graphics Card        DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Storage                                      16 GB                                                                 20 GB.
Windows 8 for x86/64 processors will run most software compatible with previous versions of Windows, with the same restrictions as Windows 7: 64-bit Windows 8 will be able to run 64-bit and 32-bit software while 32-bit Windows 8 will be able to run 32-bit and 16-bit software. The Windows 8 Pro upgrades obtained via these promotional prices will include 90-days of no-charge support from Microsoft; which 90-day period will begin at the moment the Windows 8 installation and activation is completed.

5.) Apple iPhone 5: The iPhone 5 will be top dog in the 2013 smartphone arena. Offering support for 4G LTE and other upgrades, the iPhone 5 will make a big splash this year, ensuring its dominance into 2013. There have been quite a few concept designs in recent months but Apple has kept their, and as of now, no official specifications or designs have been released. Apple is  expected to announce the official release date of the iPhone 5 at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) this month on the 11th.

6.) Hiroko - MIT's Folding Car: The Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT) has their sights set on being the catalyst for finally pushing the electric automobile revolution over the edge. In 2013, the Hiroko (meaning "urban car) making the Smart Car look even more ridiculous than it already does with its sleek design and new age features. One of the best characteristics of the Hiroko is that it is incredibly easy to park in small spaces, with its ability to fit in one third of a parking space after being "folded" up.

7.) Memristor Technology: The basic message of Moore’s law tells us that advancements in technology will cause computer chip performance to double every two years. So far this has held true; and if it continues, we will run face first into a brick wall somewhere around 2020 due to simple physical limitations. In their current form, a resistor is a passive component with a set resistance value. Memristors, on the other hand, have the ability to change their resistance based on the direction of current running through them. In addition to that, you can power down a device using memristors, and they will remember their last state when powered back on. This is expected to completely eliminate boot times from computer devices, which will in turn allow us to power them down on a regular basis, drastically reducing power usage and increasing battery life. This technology is said to be capable of neural net processing, allowing it to mimic the human brain. Taken further, scientists believe that human skin and blood can be used as memristors.
