Android is the latest Operating System for mobile devices supported by GOOGLE & works on linux platform, which makes it less prone to virus attacks & have a better file management system(it does not require disk defragmentation for phone memory).
Android devices are available in different shape & size. Starting from just Rs 5500 & ranging upto Rs 40,000.
The current version which is widely available in market is 2.3 ginger bread which works good & supports more than 100K applications. The latest version available is 4.0 ice-cream sandwich in LG Optimus, Samsung GALAXY S|||, Samsung GALAXY S|| & many other.
version 4.1, Jelly Bean is launched & in India we can get it soon!
Basically Android OS is need for the hour as it makes our life easy & full of information with it's easy to use apps & affordable upgrades.
